The Bagmati Climate Action Initiative is a high-integrity carbon project focused on transitioning 10,000 households from Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to efficient Electric Pressure Cookers (EPCs). This initiative leverages Nepal’s clean, hydropower-dominated electricity grid to achieve significant reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and eliminate indoor air pollution. The project is designed for compliance with high-standard voluntary carbon markets (VCM) and features a state-of-the-art Digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) system to ensure real-time data collection and transparency in emissions accounting.
